2020 Summit Focus -- Collaborative Actions In Progress, Planned, and Results Achieved for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives

Think Regional! Summits highlight ideas, progress and future initiatives in factors that drive Economic and Job Growth and Quality of LIfe Improvements across our region. One of the 6 key factors identified in our first Regional Summit of 2014 was the level of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in business, education and neighborhoods that is necessary to support economic growth. Southwest Oho cannot build a world class economy and achieve greater economic and job growth without attracting, embracing and retaining a diverse workforce and community culture. Thus, at the 2020 Summit we will have 2 morning panels and a small group discussion in the afternoon that will focus on beginning to explore answers to the following key questions in the areas of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Programs:

1. In the short term, what are the more effective and impactful actions that are underway in this area? What is the expected benefit for the organization and region, and how are these benefits being achieved?

2. In the long term, what are the actions that are being planned to benefit the region in these areas that support long term economic and job growth and quality of life across the region? Are there any barriers to bringing these actions to reality in the future?
